DIGITAL PASSPORT

Which attachments are mandatory to create/validate a certificate?

The only mandatory attachment is the proof of purchase (invoice/receipt) showing:

  • the purchase date
  • the point of sale / reseller name (store or website)

Is the purchase date mandatory?

Yes. The purchase date must be provided and must be consistent with the proof of purchase.

What are the eligibility conditions for the Digital Passport?

The product must meet the following criteria:

  • Comes with the “Digital Passport” card
  • Purchased from April 1, 2025 onward (S.T. Dupont network and authorized retailers)
  • Made in France
  • Unique serial number (7 characters)

Note: some product ranges (e.g., limited editions / Haute Creation and leather goods) are currently excluded.

How do I know if my product is eligible?

By entering the required information (e.g., serial number) on the platform, it will automatically indicate whether the product is eligible or not.

Why was my certificate rejected?

The most common reasons are:

  • Missing Digital Passport card: product not eligible
  • Proof of purchase missing / unreadable / incomplete (missing date or point of sale)
  • Purchase date not provided or inconsistent with the proof of purchase
  • Purchased before April 1, 2025: product not eligible

I purchased after April 1, 2025 but my certificate was rejected. Why?

The rejection may be due to an incomplete/unreadable proof of purchase, or a missing purchase date. Please check your invoice and the information entered.

How long does certificate validation take?

Validation depends on the checks performed. You will be notified on the platform as soon as the certificate is validated (or rejected).

Does the Digital Passport provide an extra 6 months of warranty?

Yes. The product comes with a standard warranty card (2 years) and a “Digital Passport” card. By scanning the QR code and activating the Digital Passport, you automatically receive a 6-month warranty extension, for a total of 2 years + 6 months.

If I activate my Digital Passport late, from which date is the warranty calculated?

The warranty is calculated from the purchase date, not from the Digital Passport activation date.

What should I do if I no longer have the invoice/receipt?

Ask the point of sale for a duplicate. Without proof of purchase, your Digital Passport cannot be validated.

Can I register/certify multiple products with the same account?

Yes, you can register multiple products, as long as they are eligible and you have a proof of purchase for each one.

What if the information entered does not match the invoice (date / point of sale)?

If the information does not match, your request will be rejected. You can submit it again by entering the correct information (purchase date, point of sale, etc.).

Can I activate the Digital Passport for a second-hand product?

Yes, only if the previous owner has transferred the certificate to you via the platform. Without a prior transfer, activation is not possible. Please refer to the User Guide (menu Services → Transfer digital passport, then confirmation).

What if I don’t have the “Digital Passport” card in my product packaging?

Without the Digital Passport card, the product is considered not eligible.

Is Digital Passport activation mandatory?

No, but it is recommended in order to benefit from the 6-month warranty extension.

Can I transfer the Digital Passport to someone else (gift, resale)?

Yes. You can transfer the Digital Passport by following the steps in the User Guide (menu Services → Transfer digital passport, then confirmation).

Can I lock my Digital Passport in case of theft or loss?

Yes. Follow the User Guide: Services → Lock my digital passport, select the reason (Loss / Theft / Other), then confirm with Validate.
